for each example represent the usual fields that need to be changed.

The two most common
emulations are VT-220-7 or WYSE 60. You
should check with your system administor as to which type you should
use.

General
For must systems
you will need to check the Use 8 Bit Data Characters box.

Display
Make sure Interpret
is checked. Both the VT and WYSE emulations use 25 lines per
screen.

Keyboard
Make sure the
Backspace option is selected.

Tabs and Colors
Rarely are any
changes required for Tabs or Colors.

Mapping
Keys
Many legacy systems
will require changing the defaults for function keys. They may also
use the value of END + ENTER key as the command to exit or continue
with options. The standard PC END key sends an ESC sequence that is
used by Windows applications. To eliminate having to constantly type
E N D, you can change the END key to send the
word END plus ENTER.
To open the Keyboard
mapping screen, click on the Keyboard Icon.

The keyboard that
is displayed will depend on the Emulation type you selected. In the
sampes below, the
- top keyboard
represents a normal VT or Wyse keyboard layout
- bottom keyboard
represents the apperance of your PC keyboard.
VT keyboard

Wyse 60 keyboard

Locate the key (on
the bottom keyboard) that you want to use to send the value END+Enter
and right-click on the key image. Usually END or SEL A new
window will open.

There are different
options that can be entered for the script command. This example will
send (same as if you typed the letters) the word END plus
the ENTER key value. The ^M represents Control M which
is the normal value transmitted when you press the ENTER key.
After you have entered
the desired script sequence, click on OK. The selected key image on
the displayed keyboard will change to CMD. This is to let you know which
keys you have programmed from their default values.
If you want to remove
the script, drag the key to the trash bin and the key will
default back to its original setting.
